Childhood Home

Barry called asking if I could help him frame a painting of his childhood home. 

Previously he'd stopped at one of the Big Box framing stores and wasn't happy with the frame and at the sales consultant suggested. I have to say, coming up with the right frame and mat color was a bit challenging.  Here's what we settled on:  A thin profile walnut moulding and a double mat - sort of a taupe and then a rusty red to match the bricks of the house.  This combination produced a winner and the customer was extremely pleased.  Sometimes putting the right colors together takes time and thought but is well worth the process!
